StarTrek : the motion picture in 60 minutes

I edited Star Trek The Motion Picture (1979) down from 2 hours to just over 60 minutes. My goal was to demonstrate that the movie was bloated and had redundant and unnecessary scenes.

The edits are harsh, I didn't spend any time trying to smooth out the transitions. Still, the story is intact and even more entertaining than the original.

Thanks, you have managed to cut out the parts that really drag, while leaving the good stuff in. Veger's question of why it exists is kind of like in a Boston Legal episode where Crane mentions a friend who was shaving and asks himself " What's the point? ". Crane rightly says that you can't ask yourself a question like that, it will kill you.

Thank you! I have long held this same opinion, that if you cut a lot of the extra-long effects scenes, you might have a half-decent TV episode. Thank you for doing this, it saved me the trouble. :)

Isn't this the 1999 remake?

I don't remember seeing the scene where Vger broke off the attack at 25:34 showing it happen on the outside of the Enterprise. The way I seen it was the attack was broke off from the inside view of the ship.
