A few fact about the Hands Free Law




Anyone over 18 can drive and talk on the phone while using a hands-free device.

The first offense is a minimum base of $20 and $50 for subsequent offenses

More than 1,000 crashes were blamed on drivers using a hand-held cellular phone in 2007, inuring 447 people, according to the CHP

How does using a blue-tooth or hands free device justify the usage of a cellphone? I even think having passengers in the same vehicle can be as distracting as a cellphone, especially when people tend to face the speaker while they're driving. In my honest opinion, 80% of people driving on the road are barely qualified to drive. People are terrible drivers, cell phones or not.
