  • why would you hold a rabbit by its scruff of the neck there own mothers dont pick them up like that so why would you think you could

  • @frang1982 because it does't hurt them, they have more trust in you when hold like that and it prevents struggle because if you hold them losey and they try to jump out your arms but struggle they can kick hard enough to break there own backs!!!!!

  • FACT:it looks like it but it does't its his instict to be held like that it also prevents him from kicking so he does't break his back when he kicks

  • u cnt hold it with the scruff of its neck -.-

  • @psg1504 i do feel bad now that you said that, i just get pissed cause i like looove animals soo soososo much, and i know that you should never hold them like that cause they get hurt, and they dont like it. and i said alot of rude things. so im sorry.. and i am also a kid. :`(

  • @MegsPetcare He may be wrong but no need to be abusive towards him, he's a child remember. Why not explain the correct way and actually make your post helpful?

  • Yo, you stupid fucking kid.it causes back problems when you hold them like that. like your a stupid fucking ass hole. they can break there own back from kicking. get tips maybe, stupid idiot.you dont know how much i wanna come over there and hit you in the face!!!!like did you see his face wen you grabed him from the scruff. your fucking crule. you should not have any pets.

  • even if that is correct about where to hold you should always be supporting its hind legs, else all its weight is pulling on its fur where you're holding it which would definitely hurt!

  • It is painful (especially for a big rabbit) to be lifted by the scruff of the neck if the bottom of the body is not well supported. You seem to do a well job at handling the rabbit until I reach 1.44 - 1.48 Never pick him up by the scruff of the neck alone

  • nope... he looks quite happy to me!!! He lets you handle him for quite awhile without fussing... that's notable for a bunny. I think he feels very secure with you and knows that you know how to handle him properly!!!
