  • Real McCoys = Real TV!!

  • grand pappy amos mccoy

  • 20 miles due N/E of City Hall in LA is the town of Arleta. I don't think they'd pull that one off on Angelenos, but it was real enough for TV in the 50's.

  • Nice try, ABC guys, but no, the McCoys didn't just live just a quick 20 mile drive from downtown LA. They also didn't live 10 miles from Hollywood or 5 miles from Malibu. They lived far in the outskirts of northern Californy, way up in thuh hills.

  • Yikes! Does this ever bring back memories for me. (Uh-uh, don't figure out my age, LOLOLOLOL. Happy New Year).

  • @luvthoseclips

Actually, that ABC logo box with the animated letters(used for the promos) was used in conjunction with the Big "A" logo(used for station ID and also in still ads) at that time.

  • LOL These days "Pepino" would be the hired illegal immigrant"!

  • I remember the logo box many years ago that was always displayed on network shows years ago at the end of this clip. That's like close to 50 yrs ago now......how did u get access to this after all these years?
