Yes, we know we get a new favourite singer once a week but Texas-born Sarah is very special. Even though she's only twenty, you can find videos of her being amazing that stretch back 10 years. And she's already been nominated for a Grammy.
Her second album, Follow Me Down is a strong contender for our album of the year.
Here she is performing a song from it, her own adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's final poem, upstairs in London's Bush Hall in July 2011. Accompanied by Nathaniel Smith on cello and Alex Hargreaves on fiddle.

  • Wow, so very bad ass.

  • A great version, not sure which I like best, this one or her with Alison Krauss. Can't wait to see her live in the UK soon.

  • Oh Yea

  • Always loved Poe's work and am really enjoying Sarah Jarasz's interpretation, too

  • Minor correction: Sarah has had a Grammy nomination (2010 for "Mansineedof" from her 1st album), but hasn't actually won one... yet.

  • talented picker and singer

  • good video!

  • jaw dropping!

  • Nice
