forcedmedia no disrespect but Samoans are the creators of the Samoan Fire Knife Dance. They may have changed the title so that others can partcipate in the competition but the dance is Samoan.

The official name according to the PCC public relations representatives is "The Polynesian Cultural Center presents the 2008 World Fire Knife Competition." To say it is the samoan fire knife competition would indicate that only samoans can enter which is not the case. Hawaiians and Pacific islanders from around the globe and europe have competed in this global event. Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka Aina I Ka Pono.
