Have you ever wanted to get more from Windows Movie Maker, but you don't know how. Well, the Windows Movie Maker Enhancement Pack 2010 can help you. The package is easy to install, and best of all it is FREE! You can find more information and download this Enhancement Pack at http://artifexproductionz.blogspot.com/2010/04/windows-movie-maker-26-enhance...

Video on how to install: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqpXfByq8ko
-----------------------------------------------------

Look for the download link at the bottom of the page. Don't be alarmed when you come to the download page and you see a yellow banner at the top reading "This file type (.exe) can potentially harm your computer". Microsoft programed their Live Skydrive service to warn people about the risks of downloading .exe files from the internet.

Also, if the installer fails or all the effects don't install on a 64-bit system, go to the program files directory and move the contents from a folder names "Windows Movie Maker (x86)" or "Movie Maker 2.6 (x86)" into Windows Movie Maker's file directory. Sorry, there is a small glitch in the installer. You may want try installed the enhancements manually by downloading it as a .zip file. Look below for more info.

Download the package as a .zip file if you can't get the installer to work right. You can find the link on my blog near the download buttons.

  • Are there the turn time backwards effect ?

  • @koenig2811 Not that I know of. There are speed effects in the package though.

  • Which video files/ music files does it now allow?

  • @Smileybunnehz That depends on what codecs you have installed. Normally, it only accepts files like .avi, .wmv, .wma, .mp3, .asf, all pictures files, and other Microsoft supported codecs. Any files that are non-Microsoft file types like .mov won't be accepted, unless you have a codec installed for it.

Hi, great extension with nice additional effects. Installation on XP was easy, new effects work but the new 720p HD resolution output doesnt work, result is still 4:3 like before. What am I doing wrong?

  • @ladyblueraincoat Did you change your aspect ratio to 16:9 in the options dialog? You can find this option under the advanced tab of the options dialog.
