This video was taken in the summer of 1989 at Diablo Venture Games. It portrays the Wild Geese last stand at point Charlie, against another local team, the Lost Boys. Needles to say, the Geese as the 300 Spartans did, fought to the last man. That last Geese you see standing was Andrew, advancing into a hail of paintballs.
The Wild Geese was a local San Jose recreational paintball team, dating back to the mid 80's when they were known as the Booney Rats. I loved the original Geese; Alex and Andrew were the leaders. But we had a falling out in the mid 90's as several of their newer players were out of control, so I asked them to not return. I still have very fond memories for the original old Geese and wonder what have become of my old friends
{Note}
Diablo Venture Games Paintball Park opened on April 12th 1986, due to the property owner selling the land; it was forced to close down on January 31st 2009. It was home to the original Ironmen recreational paintball team from 1986 to 1988 before it switched to a tournament team. Home to the Lost Boys, Little Rascals, Wild Geese, Out of Shape, Team Taurus and countless others no one ever herd of but deserve mention in this world of the internet!
