Feel a need to relax?

Blue in Green is an amazing tune for just that, and I've tried to create something to take you on a gentle cruise that you'll like! This is pretty much 'my' take on this piece.

Things to note: Backing track is Band in a Box as usual; it and my piano were transposed 3 halves higher which I forgot to undo but big deal, you get to hear Blue in Green in a different key for once ;)
And yes, REAL stereo!! Hope you like my piano sound. Next time I need to lower the bass a little bit: not quite an ideal balance in volume but close enough.
I know I looped myself in the melody later on alot but I meant to get ready to hit the stop button, BiaB was set to loop endlessly rather than a set # of loops. Nonethless, I kept the 'cruise' comfy...I hope!

Lastly, as always, leave comments!! Critique, suggestions etc they're all welcome! I'll even do my best to do requests =)

-Kim

PS
I had to split it up in 2 parts as I was unknown of that fact that even directors/muscians etc cannot upload over 10 minutes of video.
Nontheless, cheers!

  • Fantastic playing :)

This is the sort of music I'd like to get in to, not only to play, but to listen to. What can you recommend?

  • @F1MikaSalo Thanks. I'll have to get back to you on that one. But I'm a huge gigantic fan of Keith Jarret's approach to ballads; check out his standards trio with Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette.

  • great playing man!! creative improvisation

where can i find a good scoring of blue in green??

  • Just pickup a jazz fakebook. It's bound to be in one.

  • chords://Bbmaj11+/A75+/Dm7,Db7/Cm7,F7/Bbmaj11+

    A75+/Dm7/E7/Am7/Dmmaj//

    melody:

  • Sorry Guys

I made a mistake with this VID on a hypercollider I placed. - There must be some music inside too I guess

but I did the wrong key.

  • A great jazz solo.......and on mostly white keys!

  • I envy you, Bill Evans (one of my absolute favorites), and all other keyboardists. Darn it. Wish I had an ear for playing music. But at least I can enjoy listening to it. Thanks for posting.
