Eight Policemen Killed in Pakistan Suicide Bomb Blast

On Monday, at least eight policemen were killed and wounded in an attack in northwest Pakistan.

A suicide bomber drove his car into a police station in the town of Lakki Marwat.

It is the third such attack in the country within a week. Earlier, nearly 100 people were killed in suicide bombings in the eastern city of Lahore, and in the southwestern city of Quetta.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the other two attacks.

Last week the Taliban also threatened to launch attacks in the United States and Europe (quote) "very soon," two days after Washington added the Taliban Movement of Pakistan to its list of foreign terrorist organizations.
