Using the needle and yarn to mark where to put the hook is a terrific and helpful idea. I wish the videography were a bit clearer, especially at the last minute when starting to single crochet back across the foundation... your hands are out of camera view.

thanks so much, you make it so much easier to understand... I can do this!!!

thank you! of all the no-chain foundation single crochet how-to videos on youtube, this was the one that "clicked" for me. i couldn't get the "yarn trick" to work, but your pacing and clear instructions (and pausing or restarting the video a lot) got me through it. hooray!

I have dyslexia and i think i am creative. I always knew i takes me longer to learn to do things but once i "get it" , I got it. You can do anything you set your mind to. You go over and over the lesson and you will get it and feel empowered because you have the power to learn and the richness in yourself to create.

@JaneVanDoe Hi, Have you checked out the Ravelry or Crochetville sites? Ive seen that a few members have dyslexia and get creative with how they create knitting projects/adjust patterns...Perhaps you can start a thread on the subject, i think you'll connect with many others who may be able to help you bring out your creative side more...Wish i had more info for you but if i find any resources, i shall pass them along.
Happy crafting! :)

@exotikk1... you are wonderful... however... I took piano lessons for years and tried to read music... I told the teacher notes looked like ants crawling around... every time I blink the position changes... LOL... I went to an eye doctor in NYC and he told me that I was the 'most dyslexic person on the planet' .... I'm afraid I will never play the piano or crochet... but I love to watch you do it... even if it looks backwards... smiles to you... and thank you for your caring... smiles... JVD

@JaneVanDoe Have you read "Knit Along with Debbie Macomber - The Shop on Blossom Street" or any of Debbies books? She has dyslexia, and knitting really helped build her self esteem :)
Thanks. It was very understandable. I love the yarn piece suggestion.
