A touching look at the lives of those cursed by earthquakes.

At 6.8 on the Richter scale, the latest earthquake in Kerman could have killed 1,000 people, as one in 1981 did. In fact it killed only 5. That's because Iran is learning to fight earthquake damage. In 1990 alone, earthquakes killed a staggering 40,000 Iranians. A drum beats, men beat their chests and women wail at funeral for earthquake victims. We follow Ali Sayed as he returns to his home village of Abiz where his parents were recently killed. "When we got my parents out, they were lying facing Mecca." All around him is the familiar rubble. It took just ten minutes for the earthquake to kill 180 people from Abiz alone. The Red Crescent Society normally co-ordinates aid, but on this occasion Iran called on the international community for help because of exhausted supplies. To prevent such catastrophic events from re-occurring the Iranian government asked the UN to draw up specifications for architects and engineers carrying out reconstruction work.

This bastard Khomeini & the totally dysfunctional regime are the reason people in Iran are living in such areas with no help, no quality construction even in the hospitals. The crimes of this regime are ever mounting. They don't even allow searchdogs in as people lie under rubble taking their last breaths. These poor people embrace the same god & the politicians exploit it to justify the horror of these clamities. The oil riches of Iran should be used to build decent homes, and public buildings.

The only hope these poor people have is God. The death's continue. The suffering continues. And now Iranians genius mullahs have built nuclear reactors in fault zones. I fear the massive disaster with the nucs. This guy is not truthful. In bam people still live in tents. Nothing is built to code, or built without corruption & graff. The fact is the mullahs regime does nothing to help people. Shame on this regime, & its corrupt anti-human regime. God bless these poor people.

Since 2007 , only over 3000 people watched this video!

I don't see anybody brag about Iran saying I miss Iran. Most of us (Iranians) only cosider Tehran as whole country of Iran. I think if we are truly love Iran , we should start looking for more videos like this one becuase Bam is part of Iran too.
