As we move into the Twenty-First Century, computerized machines are moving into the human body. Whether feeding images into the optic nerve of the blind, recording emotions for playback, or expanding human potential by increasing our memories and communication, our technology has begun a process of connecting with our physical bodies. As our knowledge expands exponentially, we will connect with our technology in a way so intimate and dramatic that it will challenge our notions of what it means to be human.
