@Nekton97 Or you're just immature and still don't understand what I mean. I know WHY people are making the jokes, but if they know exactly what's going on, then they shouldn't be making them. I was pointing something out.

Lol, the joke here still applies though, because conjugation is also referred to as bacterial sex, and it really serves the same purpose as vertical gene transfer in eukaryotes.

This actually isn't sexual. The conjugation tube is formed, then the donor passes the DNA to the recipient, and the conjugation tube is broken off and the bacteria go their separate ways. This isn't a form of reproduction, so what's with the jokes?
