Ha I was there that very year, albeit outside on the Static Displays, Princess Diana even paid us a vist with A very young Prince Harry And Prince William! I was only 21 at the time in the Royal Navy and I had just come back from the Gulf (After the 91 Gulf War)

@skippinchicken How do you know my dad???? And if you know him you will know me! I absalutly agree with what you said about the army and goverment cuts It was a rreal shame that this wass there last time perfoming as 16 peice regimental band. The music was brilliant. I watched this at hme with my mum and it was one of the most proudest moments of my life...

I played there in a Sea Cadet band in 1964; What an experience! It was scrapped because it was excellent and "New Labour" despises excellence. They didn't scrap the Edinburgh Tattoo, though, too many Scottish votes to be lost. Now they want to "promote" the Armed Forces - bloody left-wing lunatics! Bring back our Royal Tournament!!!
