song form my childhood recollection.Not one of their popular songs but I allways liked the sentiment and the spirituality simply stated.Just doing what comes to mind as I drift throught the folk venue here.

The discussion was theology,

I visited your house again on christmas or thanksgiving
And a balded man said you were dead,
But the house would go on living.
He recited poetry and as he saw me stand to leave
He shook his head and said I'd never find you.

My mother used to dress me up,
And while my dad was sleeping
We would walk down to your house without speaking.

I've loved this song since I first heard it in 1967. What touched me most was the songs parallel with events of my life. My mother and I walking to church while dad slept. In later years he went with us as well. Then my Theology classes in college and talk talk talk, the 60's vs church, government, industrialists, etc. Thank you for bringing it back to me.
