PPM- Sunday morning, very bright, I read your book by colored light That came in through the pretty window picture.
I visited some houses where they said that you were living And they talked a lot about you And they spoke about your giving. They passed a basket with some envelopes; I just had time to write a note And all it said was I believe in you.
Passing conversations where they mentioned your existence And the fact that you had been replaced by your assistants. The discussion was theology, And when they smiled and turned to me All that I could say was I believe in you.
I visited your house again on christmas or thanksgiving And a balded man said you were dead, But the house would go on living. He recited poetry and as he saw me stand to leave He shook his head and said I'd never find you.
My mother used to dress me up, And while my dad was sleeping We would walk down to your house without speaking.

I bought the album, One Night Stand, on the strength of the Wedding Song, then fell in love with this song. Later, as a Christian, I realized the sad truth of the lyrics of this song and appreciated it even more. Good Job!
I just want to let you know that you have a really great voice for folk and this is a beautiful rendition of one of my favorite Peter Paul & Mary songs ever.
On July 12th, I will be singing this as a trio with my mom and older sister at our church. My mom will be playing a 12 string and I will be playing a 6 string.
Mum, have you recorded PPM's version of "Reason To Believe"? I first heard it on one of their albums in the 60's but have only found Rod Stewart's, which is very good but would love to hear PPM again.
thanks. Got a link? My cds are in a pile in the basement and my music is from childhood memory and youtube for reminder. For your tune I need mary if my memory serves me. So if you get me a link and mary like voice to jam Id try in a heartbeat. thanks a gain. ps still no guarantees, so dont be offended if I dont deliver. The songs kind of do themselves if you know what I mean.
Will try one of these days.prefer duo with soprano vocal.I like the harmony. I dont really need the people or the tips. The music on you tube is way more than enough for me. I truly enjoy just doing music.even just foolin around if it is not so good. Plus there is the whole web for an audience. Finally, not much time.:-)
