  • Funny, when I read your blog I always pronounce it PAT-reeARkee, not PATE-chreearki. I guess I'm just weird and from Massachusetts.

  • duh?

  • I (now) agree, REAL prostitution should be legal and regulated. I emailed English Collective of Prostitutes, congratulating them for telling truth on UK TV - 'sex slavery' a myth - asking for their policy on taxation. They claim to want protection, recognition and regulation first, then taxation. Hypergamy, i.e. gold-digging housewhoremongery is the real crime - and study found top 'feminist' authors more hypergamous than the average woman - which is a pretty low bar. Are you a faker?

  • @tom181071 Don't tell me what I do and don't "criticize." I think that prostitution should be legal and regulated, as opposed to illegal and underground.

  • thats not a very good song...and i wouldnt put my mouth on that if i were you

  • I agree with this.

    Prostitution is NOT porn.

And my heart goes out to you, and the people you help.

  • I can't speak for all men, only myself. But I highly doubt the "vast majority" of those who choose a career in the adult entertainment industry were abused. That's simply empty rhetoric, and I defy you to find a credible study on the topic.

  • If viewing pornography is rape by proxy, then what is women's erotica and the Harlequin romance novels, which are basically full of subliminal rape fantasy...?

  • So, this women (or is it womyn?) obviously doesn't study demographics or much of the social sciences past "the reading list", as it's been called below. Patriarchy and misogyny are different things: patriarchy is a social system (admittedly focused on husbands/fathers) that requires BOTH SEXES to uphold 'responsibilities' that conflict with personal freedom, such as promiscuity. Misogyny happens when men get tired of the burdens of patriarchy, abandon their duties but keep women from following.
