Johnny Flynn plays a solo set at Pure Groove in West Smithfield, London EC1A on 30 October 2008.

Songs featured here are Tickle Me Pink, a beautifully stripped-down version of Leftovers and The Box.

All three tracks are available, in their full band versions, on Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit's stunningly brilliant album, A Larum.

Johnny's set at Pure Groove also included The Wrote and the Writ, Brown Trout Blues, Tunnels and Wayne Rooney.

Trivia time. A Larum features harmony vocals from Johnny's sister, Lillie Flynn, who has recently been seen filling Laura Marling's shoes on backing vocal duties with Noah and the Whale. Meanwhile, Laura Marling has recently toured the US with Johnny Flynn and released an exclusive tour-only split 7" single, Fee Fie Foe Fum, (with Laura's I'm A Fly on the A-side and Johnny's Ghost of O'Donahue on the B-side).
