  • Hi Rachel,

Next time you use the contact or tacky paper you need to minimize the taping to purge the air bobbles.

The best is the cast a ½” thick, pushing down on the concrete with a float compressing the concrete down.

After you can start adding the concrete do not bounce the mold tap on the sides only.

In the winter leave the casting for 48 hr it will have a better chance of setting and hardening.

    I hope this will help.

    Farouk.

  • Hi! We purchased the molds from History Stone a few weeks ago. Our first bench we made was still wet when we removed it from the mold and instantly fell apart. For our next bench, we decided to go ahead and try our hand at adding a bit of decor, using your suggestion, tacky paper. This time, the concrete was dry and stayed together, however, most of the rocks we had put on the tacky paper were covered w/the concrete. Any advise on how to keep this from happening again?? Thanks :)

    Rachel

  • Hi Della,

    It is contact paper.

No need to spray the glass you need the glass to bond to the concert.

    Have fun.

    Farouk.

  • Your video is excellent! I want to make my benches with the glass like you did. Can you tell me what tacky paper is and were you get it??? also do you spray the glass and tacky paper before you pour your cement?

    thanks
