Sun conure learned to put plastic coins in his piggy bank using clicker training. Stewie used to be untame and aggressive. Clicker training turned him into an affectionate, playful companion.

  • This is awesome! And where did you get the coins?

  • @MsHorselover8 They are from a travel size Connect Four game. =)

  • did you raise yours ever since it hatched?....if not, did it try biting and nipping at you when you first got it?...i'm kinda having issues with mine..

  • Stewie was a rescue. He was very aggressive when I first got him, but as you can see we've made a lot of progress thanks to a lot of positive reinforcement training. Check out my blog for info on how to use clicker training to help tame your bird.

  • i returned mine cause it keeps screaming,

  • Did you not do any research on sun conures? They can be very loud, and it's up to you to train them not to scream all the time. Was he screaming for attention? Or was he scared? If you can't handle loud birds, then sun conures are definitely not for you.

  • it doesnt even teach u how

  • Nice !

  • Stewie was never afraid of the coin (it's just a little plastic disc). But you can use clicker training to first acclimate a bird to new objects.

  • how do you make them not scared of the coin???
