- FIRMWARE FILE: http://www.sendspace.com/file/owthsd (Download this and place in the folder that contains the exe file. The folder that you should put it in is in the zip file from the GUI)

TETHERED = You have to plug the ipod Touch 2G in to the computer if you turn it off and enter the commands to turn it on.

It should be doing it correctly. Make sure you're pressing both completely down at the same time (even holding it for 10 seconds might be good) and then if that doesn't work, make sure your iTunes version is up to date.

2.2.1. If you get an error. Find the 2.2.1 firmware on the internet somewhere and then press shift + restore in itunes and find the firmware file.

error 13...what happens is that I follow the tutorial exactly, and it fixes up the firmware for restoring or whatever, the one that takes a long time (the first thing it does). I can always do that one. but right after it finishes with that, it says that it is preparing my iPod for restoring, and it does that for maybe a minute, my iPod gets the apple icon it like it is about to restore, but then the little box pops up saying error 13 and everything stops
