That looks pretty interesting but as a fisherman who has an actual composite flyfishing rod I'll bet that bamboo shoot is infuriatingly insufficient for the application. I guess it would be enough if I were trying to survive though.

i have bamboo growing down the road from my moms house. think ill grab a few rods next time i visit, thanks for the idea

Just poke the safety pin through the bamboo shaft and secure it with the fastener. and do it several times up the pole about a fot apart on the same side of the pole in-line. Instant multi eye holes for a fly line. Dave wasted a safety pin by cutting it, and hopes the glue will hold a fish. Stupid Dave.. How did this guy ever get a show? Amazing. This is making me want to make some videos with real know how. Dave can take the bees wax out of his ears.. Has Dave ever caught anything?
