I assembled a Whizzer bike by using a Columbia bicycle and a Whizzer H engine, both from the mid 40s. After spending months off and on, working on the project, I forgot to secure the Bendix brake arm, which let to a funny stop and almost crash. I am now planning on doing some more restoration on the bike.

  • I didn't crash. Just came close.

  • God bless you both!! Keep them classics running, I intend to do the same when I finish my 53' Simplex Servicycle.

  • Thanks. Let me know when you finish it. I would love to see the video.

  • I wish I had one of those vintage Whizzer/Schwinn bikes.

  • I assembled mine from parts. The bicycle is a 40s vintage Columbia bike and the engine is a 40s vintage Whizzer H engine.

  • Awesome Mr. and Mrs Traveler! Sweet ride and vid. God bless

  • Thanks. I wish I had put my wife in the video. She was teasing me in good fun. Since the video, I have finished the restoration, and will probably make another video this spring.

  • Excellent work on that bike! It's good to see an old motor working again. Truly inspirational, despite the camera person's uncertainty! LOL!

  • Beautiful bike!!! And it runs like a top...

  • Great video. At least your wife has a sense of humor. Whizzers can be frustrating.

  • I just built an 80cc beach cruiser, but I want to buy one of these. nice bike.

  • This video made my day! I started to get a Whizzer but opted for a larger motorcycle, which I do love. But the Whizzer is a charmer and this makes me want one again! Big thumbs up to you. Be safe, and have fun!
