A friend and I finally decided to take on the Subway. What scared us away the most was not knowing if we would be able to get a permit or not for it. We took off and got there right as the visitors center was opening up and were the ONLY people doing the Subway that day. Strange! We were stoked and had a great time.
Whenever I have days off of work, I'm a landscape photographer. I enjoy every part of it... the artistic side of things and the challenges that it presents as far as growing as a person and growing as a hiker/backpacker. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it.

Although I applaud your bravery for doing this in February, you really need to go back during the summer months and experience the Subway from the top down. Since you literally have to swim several times approaching it from the top it would pretty much be impossible to do during winter. Even in August the first few pools are damn cold for some reason. The most photogenic areas cannot be reached from the bottom up. If you think you might want to go again in the summer of '12 shoot me a message.

Haha, I like all the notes. Look forward to seeing more. It would be great if you showed the resulting photos too!
