The Very First version of Somebody to love (made in 1965), called someone to love, The Live version (made in 1966) and Jefferson Airplane's version are much better , but this version is okay

I prefer the Mirko Jacob remix.... I know I suck, but it's got more oomph behind it. It doesn't piss about with guitars. Also the semi naked chickrolling around sold it to me

That remix actually uses the jefferson airplane version of this song, but anyway it's pretty cool!

Comparing the two versions is like comparing Dylan's and Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower. Both good, but different.

I LOVE this version actually better than the hit version, really raw sounding And Father Bruce another great gem. !000 times better than We built this city, what went wrong there?

In my opinion this is the best version by a mile.

the airplane hit version is not even in the same universe as the original. this is AWESOME. positively hypnotic. the backing (music/band) is very Texas-65 punk, it's got that ragged music(icianshp) and low-mid fidelity recording quality just like a Robin Hood Brians (studio/producer) track out of Tyler (texas) or ditto, lots of stuff out of Austin and further east/southeast.

airplane can suck my ass, always hated that band. they were as phony as a 3 dollar bill, and their music was worse

I like the hit version better. the rythem in that one was just so much better somehow. this one just doesnt give me that same jumpy "ogomgomgomg this is so catchy and amazing" feeling

I agree that the later live version(recorded at the Matrix?) is superb. Grace's amazing vocals on that sung culminate to a level that is truly amazing near the end. Listen carefully to the vocal nuances to appreciate the inspired artistry at work. The garage guitar sound on it is great also.
