An excerpt from Jonathan Rosenbaum's introduction to Jacques Rivette's 1968 masterpiece 'L'Amour fou,' on December 3, 2006 at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City. Rosenbaum also conducted a half-hour Q&A following the screening, which I had recorded in its entirety but, due to a cellphone memory card glitch, none of the files saved correctly.

  • Glad you put this up...L'Amour Fou" is one of top ten films. I would kill for a DVD of it.

  • Yes, it is. I saw it 12 years ago in Chicago. The original, 255 minute cut.

  • Fascinating - more please!! L'Amour Fou is a great film.
