Resource royalties are the contributions that producers make to the Consolidated Revenue Fund and is often the single largest source of such revenues to the province. These resources are utilized by the government to invest in public policy priorities. Private investment supports the broader public interest. There are already a number of municipalities that own and operate facilities. The OWA supports all waterpower development in Ontario.
