Joe: But Dad!

Mr Jonas: Boys, no buts. Its final. I think you need to step away from the spotlight for a little while.

Kevin: Dad, please. Cant we step away from it in the LA house? We have the pool, the view, the big open space and beautiful weather. Why are you sending us back home? We don't even have the house anymore!

Mr Jonas: *sighs* Im sorry boys. But I think you need to remember where you came from. You'll be staying with your grandmother. Its final. *walks away*

Nick: *sighs* Well.. this stinks.

Joe: *groans* Tell me about it. This is so lame! What are we supposed to do in New Jersey?! Ill tell you what we're gonna do. NOTHING. *sits down, defiantley*

Nick: *Sits next to him* Yeah. and we wont even be able to go in the old house..

Kevin: *eyes light up* Oh my god...

Nick: What?

Kevin: *holds his head* Guys... do you remember the girls?

Joe: *thinking back* Oh yeahhh.. Our old best friends!

Kevin: Dude! Do you remember what we told them.. 5 years ago when we left?!

Nick: *eyes widen* Oh crap..

Joe: What? What happened?

Nick: Dont you remember, us promising that we would never lose touch? That we would never forget them?

Joe: *remembers* Oh yeahh.. Uh ohh..

Kevin: *bites his lip* Do you think we'll run into them?

Nick: Its Wycoff.. of course we're gonna run into them, its like the smallest town on this Earth!

Joe: Ok ok ok .. Lets just not leave grammas house!

Nick: *sarcastically* Yes. Lets sit around in Grams one room house and watch NCIS with her on her bunnyeared television for two weeks straight.

Joe: *rolls his eyes* Fine, we wont then.

Kevin: *thinks* Im gonna be honest, I really dont think it will be that bad. They will probably be so happy to see us, they wont even care about the time thats past.

Nick: So.. we're planning on seeing them?

Kevin: *shrugs* we'll see what happens.

*Alison's POV*

I just hung up the phone.. with Paige.

I looked at myself in the mirror on my wall, and I was smiling.

Paige, my old best friend.. Just called me. And we're gonna hang out today! Me, her , and Becca. Like old times!

I got dressed quickly and threw my brown hair in a ponytail. Running down the stairs, I grabbed my bag off the counter and made my way towards the door.

"Where do you think youre going?"

I turned around.. It was my dad.

-Uhmm... Im going out..-

He looked down at his watch. "When will you be home?"

I shrugged.

Sighing, he took a step towards me and inwardly I flinched. "Be back by 10 tonight. I dont want Maddie home alone while Im gone tonight."

I raised my eyebrows. -Since when do you care?-

Anger seemed to rise in him, as he took another step towards me. He grabbed onto the collar of my jacket and thrusted me into the wall.
"Dont ever speak to me like that again."

I pulled his hand off me, and walked out the front door. Slamming it behind me, I rearranged my jacket, smoothing out the wrinkles he made.

Well.. at least he didnt hit me.. I didnt want to have to make up an excuse for a fresh bruise to the girls. I sat on the curb and waited for Paige and Becca to come outside. We were gonna walk to the mall.

I pulled out my cell phone and texted my sister.

Ali: dads in bad mood. rly bad. i suggest u go to Sara's house for the day.

Maddie: already figured it out. cant go to saras, got a new bruise. sick of explaining. im locked in, ill be fine.

I sighed. I didnt want her there alone with him. As much as I wanted this to be like old times..

Ali: Come outside. U can come to the mall with us.

Maddie: No, i kno how much this means to u. Ill be fine Ali. I promise. C u when u get home. buy me somethin pretty (:

Just then, I heard a door open. Becca stepped outside, and she waved to me excitedly.

I tried to forget about my dad.. and how much I hated him. He would be leaving soon anyways, Maddie would be fine.

This was gonna be a good day. Just like the old days.
Paige, Becca and Ali.
Best friends.
