The 2011 New Brunswick Heart Truth Fashion Gala featuring Jeanne Beker from Fashion Television and 25 well known New Brunswick women matched with alumni designers from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. The evening brought performances by Janick Arseneau from So You Think You Can Dance Canada and Riverview's own Noémi Auffrey-Jones. This spectacular event took place at Casino NB in Moncton. The goal? To raise awareness around the fact that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in Canada, and to to educate each one of us on how we can prevent heart disease by as much as 80% by making lifestyle changes. Survivors Astena Marsh and Ashley Hanson walked the runway in support of this cause, and Dr. Marc Pelletier spoke to the eduction piece. Don't miss walking the red carpet in 2012!
