Yes, they are perfect for rock sounds, But they are not wax potted. If you are going to play with a lot of gain and you don't want feedback problem, maybe you should try with SD alnico Pro 2. Are the same EQ, Slash uses them.

Hi Chris,
Maybe 57 are shriller than Seymour Duncan, but i like them too. Anyway, Seth lover, are my favourite not boutique pickups in the world. About boutique: WCR, Tom holmes, Kloppmann, Lollar, David Barfuss. Althought they are so expensive that I don't know if it is worth, cause i'm really happy with SDuncan.

Yeah 57 classics have a very very distinct sound I find, and are quite dark to be honest
my all time favorite is definatly slash so it only makes sense why I like the duncans the most. I have never tried a PAF style pickup... how would you rate the output on them

I think that Slash uses Alnico pro 2, and they are exactly like Seth lovers but potted. Same output and EQ. Seth Lovers are unpotted, like a 1955 pickup should be. There are no more differences.
BTW, great paradise city!
