It will take a year to make enough fireworks to last 10 min. on the 4th of July. But you'll have the best ones.

where i live a guy went out side to smoke and when he was done he turned of the cigar with his shoe.... so when he went in, he took a spark on his shoe that ignited 40 kilos of black powder that obviously all the people in the room died.

i was wondering... i live in Minnesota and our there any clubs that you know of in our state? Also if you would want to get involved in pyrotechnics for shows and things of that nature what kind of degree would you get in colledge or is it more of a hobbie and not a job?

Right now the PGI website seems to be down, which is where I would go to look for a local club. I'm sure there is one in driving distance.
As far as getting a job in pyrotechnics, it is not something a degree is usually needed for. You just need to get in contact with company owners, or make a company of your own. Either way, finding a club and making some friends is the best way to start. In most circumstances pyrotechnics is a job on the side. It is very hard to make a career out of it.
