Every so often there is a glimmer of hope in Haiti, as amongst the bodies an unexpected survivor is pulled from the rubble. But what happens after the happy ending? Does rescued necessarily mean saved?
Thirty three year old Paula and her two-year-old daughter Juliana were rescued after being trapped for four days. Both Paula and the Dutch rescue team are overwhelmed at this extraordinary result; God sent the Dutch to save me. This is a true miracle, isnt it? Truly amazing! This is why we work so hard. Yet after the hiatus comes the grim reality of spending nearly a week under the rubble. Paula has blood poisoning and must have both legs amputated. Juliana hasnt spoken since the disaster, and is in constant pain. Doctors at the Russian emergency hospital arent hopeful. Paula doesnt survive her injuries. Whatever the ending to Julianas story - it wont be a fairytale.

  • thanks for so much for the doctors care for this little girl and her mother.

  • can you imagin laying next to your baby screaming like that and not being able to help her? Imagin one day you scream and look to your mom fro support and she is no longer there? Talk about a broken heart.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • @thepsi75 You are exactly right. there will never be a black einstein. If you read "the bell curve" it explains itn perfectly. The highest levels of intellectual power do not exist in blacks. there are many who are smart enough to do regular jobs, and a few who can be scientists, but none reach the highest levels.

  • I wish I could help personally, give active support instead of just sending money ...

  • It was so sad that made me cry. Cheers from Ecuador.

  • so sad.

  • Wlow, race always seems to rear it's ugly head. People are selfish because we go through shit and a lot of us rather focus internally rather than externally (county-wise) it couldv'e been Mexico, Albania, Australia Korea it doesn't matter the thing is we(government) are spending like the world is gonna end(and don't have to pay it back) Well, pretty much whet I'm trying to say why do people like to blame America..Even some Americans do it..When there are other countries just as complex as ours.

  • omfg this is so sad

  • @thepsi75 Adolf, your kind of ugly selfish thinking is the reason the narrator takes a cheap shot on America.

I was upset at the comment about the American's refusing to treat her, but then I read your ugly post and I understand it.

I was just very lucky to be born in America, I am not better or special... just lucky. So are you, Adolf.

A little girl just lost her mother and you don't care because she isn't as smart as Einstein or is it only because she is black? I think I know.

  • i think this is sad but not america fault
