This style of BaguaZhang is different from the traditional type of BaguaZhang such as Cheng, Liang, Gao, and some other Yin styles. This Yin Style Bagua lineage is passed on through Dong Haichuan to Yin Fu to Men Baozhen to Xie Peiqi to the current lineage holder He JinBao and Liu Shichang. Visit http://www.yinstylebaguazhang.com/

  • Is Mdm Ge Chun Yan a direct lineage of Dong....Dr Xie???

  • Mdm Ge carries the lineage from Sun Zhi Jun. She has no relations with Dr Xie.

  • How much and where can I get his videos?

And where in China does he live?

  • The website to get it is stated in the 'more info' button near the subscribe button.

  • Both links are in the "more info"; He Jinbao lives in Beijing - as have all the people in his lineage: the style was born in the city and has never really left. If you go to the Yin Style site, you might be able to find a school near you, and there are always the workshops, if you're truly serious.

  • Oh seems like you also practice YSB. Will you be there this spring for the intensive?? I have to start training harder for the intensive.

  • Hardly is it ego my friend, only a few showed enough dedication and were pure in heart to earn the system (yin style or otherwise). Also in old china, the more of your system you showed, the more your opponents could figure out how to beat you. In old china, students would learn from a master sometimes just to kill him and take their name to fame. One had to be very careful choosing who would learn. Peace

  • The tradition of only passing a style to one person was very stupid to begin with. Only ego caused it.

Some good moves though, hope it doesn't die out.

  • Happy to see Yin style being promoted. However, the assertion that Men Baozhen was the only one to receive the complete transmission is unlikely. Ma Gui was Yin's 1st and best skilled student. When Dong Haichuan retired he moved in to Ma Gui's house. That is a situation that no other of the 3rd generation enjoyed. Thanks for the video.

  • Could someone steer me to some good yin style application vids?

  • Sadly, I'll be taking finals around the time that the workshop is going on; that said, I'm graduating in the spring and am planning on spending the year or so after that in Beijing. I know how you feel about training, though - Matt's told me to gain 20 lbs before I even bother showing up on his doorstep.

  • But do you really have a big fat foot?
