Schnitter was one of the "young turks" of the '70s, with 4 solo albums that should at least be available for download. I saw him blow away everybody, including Brecker--more exciting than Shorter, Henderson, Branford (Golson was never in the same league). hope he's still practicing and playing. The only weakness I noticed was a somewhat pinched lower register--on the other hand, Coltrane practically lost the lower end. Stitt, Hawk, Dexter were full throughout all of the tenor's registers.
