10 y/o Drew plays cello (Concerto in C Minor by J.C. Bach)

May 2011: Drew plays Concerto in C Minor by J.C. Bach at a recital. He played this piece a few weeks before and won a year's worth of free cello lessons! At this point, he has been playing cello for 5 1/2 yrs with only 30 min lessons b/c he also plays vioin.

Very nice playing!! I just watched an older video of him playing part of the Breval cello sonata. My son asked for a cello and to learn cello at a very young age also; he wasn't even 3 yet. I started him on Suzuki violin but he never practiced. He continued to ask for a cello and at 4.5 we finally gave in and tried him on cello. He hasn't stopped playing it since that day! LOL Some kids just know what they want at a very young age. Keep up the great playing, Drew.

Oh dear. Between the name "sharpiestain" and the title "Drew on Cello" I thought this was going to be about a child who had vandalized his instrument with a marker while playing or possibly before performing. I'm glad that instead it was a video of a very talented boy! Keep up the beautiful music! :)
