http://Shop.StrongerTeam.com - After our team gets in a thorough warm-up, we take the court for 20 minutes before the game starts. Here is a condensed version of what the Montrose Christian basketball team does before tip-off. We do two line passing, defensive zig zag, lay-ups (then briefly head to locker room), individual improvement, lay-ups (again), then finish with our defensive dive drill. Then GAME TIME!

As always, special thanks to S.K. for the track "Game Time"... it is the unofficial Stronger Team theme song! For more on S.K. please visit: www.MySpace.com/BarShookCheck

DC hip hop artist Papa Zooks is in the process of producing a few tracks for the this YouTube Channel too!

  • I really like the warmup routine that yall got. A great coaching staff and group of kids...

  • @MrCoachHarris Thanks. I am not at Montrose any more, I am at DeMatha :)

  • just played there today against the middle school team... I hit the game winner

  • @RockTheRed975 Congrats!

  • Hi coach, can I ask something from England? I play national league U18's (nothing compared to USA I know) and I was wondering why you teach your guys (or they have been taught) to finger roll their lay ups against the backboard... we've always been taught to finger roll if you're driving down the middle, but go in the 'normal' way ie. pushing it with your hand forwards if you drive baseline, as it is harder to block without hitting your hand.

Any response would be appreciated :)

  • @MrScillage We just encourage our players to make it :)

  • do you make your players have all the same shoes. it looks like it. i know they should be team color. because we just have to have blue and white shoes

  • @MrScillage every one over here does it not just this team its just the natural way to play basketball over here. i think it gives you more extension allowing you to get higher so you wont get blocked as easy and you can scoop it under the defender also.

  • @hasanKG5 The full warm-up takes 20 minutes...

  • how long did montrose spend on each drill?
