I spent Jan. 2010 in Myanmar and was mostly impressed with the changeover from the older city to the new. There was poverty but also new hotels, malls, shopping districts and hiways. Bus transportation was quite adequate while the "train" was much less. Airlines were very good and at most remote airports it was like hailing a cab... the plane would roll up outside, you'd walk 45 feet into the plane and it would roll off to its destination. Security and comfort seemed adequate. I'd go back...
Hi,the building are very ugly but i used to live there for 4 years :P . Yeah you r right , even though cars in Myanmar are from 1980 but holly expensive :(. I am happy to hear that u enjoyed your trip to Burma :P.Nice place , nice weather but not the government :P.
