I had to favourite this video, it is very sad how things have gone. Health and safety axed the consumption of alcohol in the stands at Santa Pod here in the Uk, and that was some years ago now. Censorship is now taking over the internet. I just hope videos like this and all the other related motorsports will remain available, or they may as well knock my front door and erase my memory. Sigh
@jamcousi9 Yes, great footage, when America was strong and at least some things were made here, now the only thing that is strong is the unemployment and welfare lines
I have some old Hot Rod mags from the mid 60's and I was looking at the event schedules they had in there back then (up until the 90s ending w/ the internet). I found out there were dragstrips everywhere. I didn't know there was a dragstrip back in Perkiomenville, Pa right down the street where my grandparents (now my dad's) live or that there was a dragstrip in Quakertown. I've driven through these areas a 1000 times and could never tell there was ever a dragstrip in these towns. saddening now.
Great video, nothing like the nostalgia and when everything was more raw, if you like this you will probably like YORK US 30 BACK IN THE DAY 1960'S on here if you have not seen it already, thanks for sharing!!
