  • Nice post, as a male nurse myself, thanks for the positivity.

I found starting out hard but once your knowledge and experience are up it is a lot about good teamwork.

Shame there are a lot of negative comments.

  • @englishmanbo Hi!! Yes, teamwork is very important.

  • This kinda discourages me in becoming a male nurse....

  • @sublikeaboss There are too many females.=)

  • future male nurse here .... hope i get to work with nurses as cool as u are :)

  • I'm a male nursing student and have done a rotation in a Birthing Center and worked with a pregnant woman for 5 months, going to her appointments, and eventually being at her labor. It was a good experience, but it is hard to imagine a guy wanting to work in that environment. Other than that, I can't think of any area that men don't fit into in nursing. I think a lot of women enjoy having males nurses around for the same reason I wouldn't like to work with just men. Mix it up!

  • By the way, do not get the wrong idea, I am by no means trying to hit on you. If I seem rude, excuse me. But, wow! seeing your great looks, nice personality and great smile; you will definately be great for School Advertisements that offers nurse training. This might get the males attention and more of them applying :)

  • I'm a male nursing student, my policy with any job is to not get romantically involved with co-workers in your department, always makes the work environment more awkward for everyone.

  • You are very sweet and have a nice disposition. I am a male nursing student in canada. you were right on abt the male nurse in ,aternity-clinicals. I basically skirted that part.

  • @MsLunaWolf hey, can you elaborate on "different (and BETTER) way of showing care"? i'd love to hear your perspective. feel free to pm me if your reply is too involved for the character limit.

    thanks.
