I was very pleased finding 3 Ngoma records at my local flea market recently, as I believe Ngoma records are rather rare. And I just love these tunes ! Whenever life becomes a bit too tight and complicated, this defies it all ;)

Ngoma records was created by the Greek businessman Nicolas Jéronimidis in 1948 and provided local music to the, what is now, Democratic Republic of Congo, and surroundings.

It turned out to be rather difficult to restore these recordings as I wasn't able to find any info on the equalization curves used by the record company at that time, so I had to guess, gamble and test a lot. If anyone can fill me in, that would be great.
