Three panelists at the "Ending the Cycles of Violence: Reflections on Compassion, Forgiveness and Healing" discuss combating hate speech in the post-9/11 world. The panelists included Rev. Dr. Stephen Rankin, SMU's chaplain; Brother Chi Sing, a Thich Nhat Hahn-ordained Buddhist minister and director of the Dallas Meditation Center; and Mavis Belisle of the Dallas Peace Center. The discussion happened at SMU's McCord Auditorium on Sept. 9, 2011. The panel discussion was co-sponsored by the Dallas Peace Center and the Embrey Human Rights Program.
