Nick's POV

It was a normal day outside. Warm, not too hot. Actually perfect for the beach. It's what we decided to do and I never thought my day would turn out the way it did. I watched her get dressed in the corner where her closet was. She slipped on her favorite bikini. Nothing could ruin the way I feel today. We headed down to the beach and set up our things as close to the water as we could. We layed there for awhile and I finally felt like I wanted to jump into the water. I sat up and went into to give her a kiss.
Nicole: your in my sunlight
Nick: awe come on, I've been waiting to kiss you ever since you put that bikini on.
Nicole: well I guess you can block the light for that
I leaned into to kiss her and nothing could ruin this perfect moment.
girl's voice: Nick, is that you
I looked up and saw a girl who was holding a little girl. She looked familiar but I wasn't to sure.
Nick: hey, um do I know you
Girl: Nick, it's me Dana you know the last girl you dated before Marina
Nick: oh um....Hi
Dana: and whos this
Nick: This is my fiance, Nicole
Dana: wow, well good for you. I'm glad that you are finally settling down
Nick: yeah thanks....so who's this
Dana: this is my daughter
Nick: oh
Dana: Well it's nice to meet you Nicole, and it was good to see you again Nick
Nick: yeah
She left and I felt like I swallowed a rock. There was a heavy feeling in my chest and I didn't even know how to start the conversation. I looked over at her and I couldn't tell by the look on her face if she was upset or not. She got up and started walking toward the water. I got up and followed her in. She swam out a little and then turned around. I swam out to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I layed my head on her chest. I felt the sudden urge to not let her go.
Nicole: *giggles* What are you doing
Nick: I'm so sorry about that, I felt so uncomfortable
Nicole: *laughs* YOU were uncomfortable, how do you think I felt
Nick: I know and that's why I'm so sorry, are you mad at me
Nicole: for what, having ex-girlfriends, no I love you
Nick: really
Nicole: yes really
I was so releaved that she wasn't mad at me that I lifted her out of the water and into my arms. I held her for a long time and begged her that we get out of there. We got out of the water and packed our stuff up and went back home. We sat and had dinner and she seemed to be a bit quiet, like she was thinking about something. I didn't really think to ask her then about it. We watched a little tv then we headed to bed. I could tell she was a little uneasy and I couldn't let her feel that way anymore.
Nick: What's wrong baby
Nicole: I can't help but wonder
Nick: wonder what
Nicole: if that was ....your daughter
