Brazil back then was just beginning to be acknowledged as a "worthy destination" so to speak by the int'l concert industry; this particular festival alone ( in which I saw AIC for the 1st time ) also brought Nirvana, L7, RHCPeppers and Simply Red! This is when the drugs were still working obviously..hehehe the music was actually benefited from them for a while I'm sure. But, after a while they just suck everything up. Layne was literally a shell of his old self when he progressed into his addictions later on. Sad really.
