During their lifetimes, Hollywood talent agent Larry Barnett Sr. and his wife, Tony Award-winning actress Isabel Bigley Barnett, saw first-hand the challenges artists face. Today, their legacy at Ohio State helps artists prepare for and succeed in their careers. "Larry and Isabel understood what the arts meant to everybody," says Wayne Lawson, professor of arts administration, education and policy. "They believed so deeply in what students were doing...that they put up the money to put down the pathway for those kids to go out and understand entrepreneurship and the realities of the work world.... That's what the Barnetts understood. That's why they were so fabulous."
