true Lillies dad killed alex - not cliff - the poor sweet guy he was duped into saying yes to her the night she was seducing him after her dad came and told her that alex was dead - she knew her dad did it - i can't believe how she could put that charge on an innocent man that only whole heartedly loved her with a pure heart - its so sad - and he loved her enough to plead guilty for a crime he did not commit :'( i wouldn't be able to do that.

Tammy Nance Glissen is the real Lilly Becker,

Steve Vance Brown is the real Alex Cutler &

Mike Miskelley is the real Cliff.

The difference is that Mike Miskelley (Cliff) had a father, his name was Wayne Miskelley and he worked as a contract electrician & Tammy's father actually hated the Miskelley's, not the Browns.

Steve Brown's remains were found December 27th, 1982. His skull had two bullet wound holes and was marked with several hairline fractures indicating blunt force.

He proved his love by not just "telling her anything", but showing her how much he loved her by taking the blame. Seeing how upset she was getting and how the defense lawyer attacked her, he refuse to liberate himself, but confessed to keep her from becoming a suspect.

Part 6 tells it all as far as this movie is concerned. She asked him if he would do anything for her and he said that he would, but she said that he could TELL HER ANYTHING. She wanted him to prove it to her, so while she kissed and coddled him, she was convincing him to take the blame for her, coaching him:"you did it didn't you? Say yes...", on the stand:" I asked him and he said yes."
