true but i also feels its impossible in this modern era to dominate the game the winners of the primiership is either chelsea aresenl or manutd not 1 certin team im just glad rafa has got us into 2 europeon finals! in the last 3 yrs!
is anyone else going to comment on the club that in the 70,s and 80,s were untouchable? i am pompey born and bred and feel obliged to support my home town, but i have the utmost respect 4 wot lfc achieved in those 2 memorable decades, pity they stopped promoting from within, sadly i feel that is part of the reason they have never quite got back to what they used to be? no disrespect intended to rafa.
it has always amazed me how in the champions league it is so much easier to win a euro cup than under the old system, yet man utd who have practically dominated the premier league can never seem to do much in Europe? given their vast money and huge squad and the fact that u don't have to win the league anymore to be in the euro cup, yet they have never matched Liverpool's forays into Europe? i am glad though!

the greatest side ever to grace British football, what Liverpool achieved at home and abroad in the 70,s and 80,s is phenomenal. especially in Europe when u take into account that 4 of their 5 euro cups were won in an era where u had to have won your country's league title in the previous season! not come 2nd or 3rd, or play offs , but actually to have been league champs, that is what i believe makes their euro escapades more memorable.
