Minecraft - Triple Input AND Gate Variation

In response to a video by KaleHavoc, I explored a variation on the triple input AND gate. Sorry again about the aspect ratio, and in this case even some weird black stuff is happening... I'm too tired of trying to fix things though, so I hope the video is still intelligible. For any future videos I'll find better editing software.

For some reason the video screws up realy bad and then stops working :S What's up with that?

I have a problem. I'm using this to make a lock in a tutorial map, but the middle input seems to do nothing to the redstone torch on top of the middle block. I'm sure I copied it exactly, what could be causing this?

Interesting... I hadn't considered a multi input AND gate like this.
