THE BEST BD DRUMLINE EVER PERIOD. Literally the first clip of drum corps I ever saw during band camp my freshman yr in HS. Took me until 92 to make it there.

I was lucky enough to be at Camp Randall Stadium for that show. It was amazing! A BD snare scored a perfect 100.0 at individual competition. I was in a Class A corps that year and will never forget the experience: both of performing and seeing shows like this one.

they need to go to this style. this is actually how showstyle drumlines play their drums. not all but some do play this way

@FromTheDeskOfJAW rick rodriguez?

@guitaristsd Yep....Steve Campbell (center snare in 86). I marched with him in 84 when we were both rookies to BD (me to the activity as a whole, he came from 27th). Quiet guy...until he got a pair of drumsticks in his hands...then the rods spoke volumes for him. His solo is on YouTube if you search for it. Video and audio quality isn't the greatest (but it WAS 1986), but you can see the greatness that was Steve.

He sounds like he has a cold.

@japs52 then don't watch, assclown

Second snare from the left is my drumline instructor. :)

I know this comment is a year old, but just ignore Japs....he was saying the same stupid shit on the BD boards until he finally left...I don't think anyone misses him. God Himself could play in a modern corps and he'd still bitch, piss, and moan.

that man should stop speaking out of his nose.

That perfect snare solo was Steve Campbell, center snare!!
What a show to see live!!! I actually never saw them up close until 1987 at Glenwood Springs. Do you still have the tape?
