This is our Tribute to the original Tron soundtrack by Wendy Carlos. We spent a lot of time cramming as much detail as possible into this short collection of remixes. We also included the two original Game Boy versions that we competed 1st using our modified Tron Boy before expanding the project to other computers and video game consoles. The collections sound palette uses the following systems: Commodore 64, Nintendo NES, Nintendo Game Boy, Apple II, and Atari 2600.

Tron Tribute EP Track Listing:
1 Tron Scherzo (Sark's Revenge Mix)
2 Tron Theme and Ending (Flynn's Goodbye Mix)
3 Tron Scherzo (Solar Sailer mix)
4 Tron Theme and Ending (Yori's Game Boy Mix)
5 Tron Scherzo (Bit's Game Boy Mix)

  • What kind of 8-bit music chip did you folks use ? An C-64 SID, an Atari Pokey, or an MSX Yamaha chip, or another one ? I am curious.... Greetings from an original Atarian.

  • @RichardCyberPunk Click on the info tab ;)

  • @floppypop , interesting, what music chip did the Apple II have ?

  • @RichardCyberPunk It actually doesn't have a chip. Rather than having a dedicated sound-synthesis chip, the Apple II had a toggle circuit that could only emit a click through a built-in speaker or a line out jack; all other sounds (including two, three and, eventually, four-voice music and playback of audio samples and speech synthesis) were generated entirely by software that clicked the speaker at just the right times.

  • I'd love to have this play when someone presses my doorbell.

  • Awesome!

  • its cool how tron looks like a video game(and basicly is) and tron legacy looks like a real world of the future or something like that

  • it is amazing

  • Mind handing out the chords for this?

  • @RichardCyberPunk

the only silicon for Apple ][e audio, was a transistor for output, and the CPU, the 6502, to tickle the transistor. I've seen the circuitry. That's all there was. On or off.

  • This honestly doesn't sound much different from the original.

  • @whizzmaster3000 its all right man

  • @booyah344 Oh. *facepalm*

  • it sucks that the giant ships dont try to thowmp people in legacy
