Well I think they were pissed at a lot more than that, but yes, the things they did to the people in the countries they invaded were utterly horrific and inhuman. Absolutely inhuman. Those countries still remember what the Japanese army did to their people. It's funny how people forget things like that... all they remember is Pearl Harbor or how "awful" it was that we dropped the two atom bombs...it's like everything else that happened up to and during our entering the war was forgotten. Sad.

Agree with that totally. The worst cruelty of the WW2 period was perpetrated on Chinese civilians in Manchuria by the Japs. Not the Red Army , the SS or the Khmer Rouge can hold a penny candle to the depraved Imperial troops of Hirohito. And history in the West has soft-focused their atrocities. Why ?
